Channel Setup

There are 2 types of Channels which needs to be configured before we can send messages.

These configurations can be done by Salesforce System Admin. Admin also needs to have WA_Channel_Permission_Set permission set assigned to manage the WhatsApp channel configuration.

Configuring channel for Enterprise

**Steps –

  1. Go to WhatsApp channel ** Tab
  2. Click on new button to create a new channel
  3. Fill the fields as shown below.
  4. Select WhatsApp Channel Type as “Enterprise
  5. Save the channel configuration

Configuring channel for Self Serve

Steps

  1. Go to WhatsApp channel Tab
  2. Click on new button to create a new channel
  3. Fill the fields as shown below.
  4. Select WhatsApp Channel Type as Self-Serve
  5. Password field is the API key
  6. Appname is provided by Gupshup
  7. Save the channel configuration
