Receive Notifications for new Inbound Message on Whatsapp

Overview

This feature allows Zoho user to show notification when a new message is received from Leads/contacts.

In order to make use of this feature, the existing Zoho Users need to follow the steps mentioned below :

Steps to be followed by existing users

1 : Login into Zoho CRM Account which will redirect us to the Home Page of Zoho CRM

2 : After getting redirected to the Settings page of Extension, we need to scroll down to click on the CRM Config button at the bottom of the Page

3 : Now it will ask us for the new Client Code

4 : How to get the New Client Code ?

  • Please refer this article on how to Generate Code : Link [ Go to Create Self Client Section through Table of Contents for more details ]
  • Go to api-console.zoho.com
  • Sign in using any one of the options available
  • Click on Self Client
  • In the Generate Code section, Enter the new Scope :
    ZohoCRM.users.ALL, ZohoCRM.settings.variables.ALL, ZohoCRM.settings.variable_groups.ALL, ZohoCRM.modules.ALL,ZohoCRM.signals.ALL
    
  • Enter a Scope Description
  • Click on Create button
  • In the Select Portal Page, click on CRM
  • Click on the radio button mentioned against the Organisation Name
  • Then click on Create button
  • Then in the Generate Code Dialog box, Click on Copy button to copy the code generated.
  • Paste it in Client Code field in the App Extension’s Settings Page
  • After entering the Client Code, we will redirected back to our User Type Page
  • Click on Submit button to get redirected to the Chat history page.

5 : Now if one of the Clients send a message to the Self Serve / Enterprise Whatsapp No, then the notification icon at the Top Navigation Bar, will notify the user that a new message has been received

6 : Click on the notification button to see who among the leads has sent the message

7 : Click on Whatsapp Reply button to see the new message received

8 : Click on the Lead’s Name mentioned in the New Message Received Panel to get redirected to the Leads Details page and then we can click on the Gusphup Whatsapp Message for ZohoCRM button to head over to the Chat Section

Once mapping is done properly, then the user will experience the same behaviour of the app extension as mentioned above.
